Camden Rocks!!

There are very few coastal destinations that replicate the unique atmosphere of Camden, Maine. The town has a state park, an awesome mountain range, and picturesque ocean scenery.

If you love small business, or if you are an entrepreneur, this is your mecca. The restaurants, grocery stores, boutiques, pubs, and just about everything in the town is owned and run by locals. This is probably the reason why the customer service and hospitality is outstanding.

One of the more unique features of the town is their waterfall that cuts directly through the downtown. Camden's downtown waterfall actually runs under some of the shops and restaurants, and it was an interesting piece to draw. The waterfall is set around a small park that overlooks the Camden Harbor, which was filled with luxurious sailing yachts.

I could fill the entire blog describing Camden's ocean, but I must describe Camden's state park and Batte Mountain. If you enjoy the outdoors and a little hiking then I strongly suggest taking a trip to the town. As you approach Camden from Rockport the town is hidden within the mountain range which is pretty cool.

Overall, Camden has to rank in my top 10 best coastal destinations in Maine. The people, the food, the shopping, the ocean, the outdoors, and the peaceful atmosphere differentiate Camden from other coastal towns.
